The Malaysian Reader is Khairul H.
Khairul H. is a Malaysian bookworm who attempts to write half-arsed reviews about books he has read. Also other things book related and some not. Updated whenever he feels like it. He would like you to join, if you hadn’t already, Goodreads.com and join the Goodreads-Malaysia message board where a lot of Malaysian bookworms hang out online.
Besides reading, he also likes Star Wars and has a crazy awesome collection of overpriced Star Wars collectibles from the US and Japan. He spent his life savings to acquire them. He regrets doing that. He should have spent someone else’s life savings instead.
He loves all animals except reptiles. Those bastards can rot in hell for all he cares.
Khairul H. is married and has two children. Yes, he’s just as surprised as you are.

The Mr is due to my respect to you being an avid reader. I stumbled accross your blog and it really inspired me to read more. And to finish reading the many books that I have bought but never read. Compared to my friend, I used to be considered a reader but even then I hardly read one a month (that explains your blog’s tagline). I hope to get my whole family to read as well. Also, I want to read the less known books, as in your posts.

I’m glad I chanced upon your blog. Being an int’l student in Malaysia, I don’t know much about the local blogs (except the cycling ones) and often stumble upon them when Google decides to sidetrack me from my searches. You can guess which of your posts brought me here. I was looking for ways to get books from Amazon since there are no libraries nearby.
